Heading Home

After a very fun filled visit we are sadly heading home.

We had our last terrace together. This is something we are going to miss a lot.

One last time to say goodbye to Immig's family.

Sad to say, but we have to leave. We both felt like we were leaving family more so than leaving friends. Our time together was very special to the two of us. Thank you to our extended family for showing us a fantastic time in beautiful Belgium.

Home at Pittsburgh International Airport. We were greeted by Christine, John and Selah. As sad as it was to leave it was good to be home.

Friends and family July 5

We were invited to spend the afternoon with a couple that are friends with Koen and Anne-Laure.
Coffee and a sweet and good conversation.
.

The pastries are really spoiling us!

After watching the Belgium game we sat outside for a family dinner.

Playing with grandchildren, how much fun.

Brussels July 4

An early morning train ride takes us into Brussels.

First stop was to see the Atomium built for the Brussels' world fair in 1958.

Then we went to a chocolate museum, with free samples.

The center of the city was very impressive. There were a lot of people and no traffic.

Finally to see Manneken Pis the little boy who saved Brussels by pee-ing on a fire. He was dressed in one of his 800 outfits. It was red, white and blue.

Another patio stop to enjoy a special time of fellowship.

Noah's Ark July 3

Thursday we were up early to go to Dordrecht in The Netherlands to see a full size Noah's Ark.

It was built by one family using the Bible as their only guide. It was a remarkable thing to see. It even had some real animals roaming around the ark.

On the way home we stopped to see some windmills. Then we had dinner at NTM The Netherlands. Josh addressed the group about his desires and goals with NTM Aviation.

Going to London July 1 & 2

Early Tuesday morning Josh, Erin, Joyce and myself left for London. It was trains, planes and automobiles for two days. Along with buses, boats and a lot of walking. It is hard to begin to tell everything about this great trip so we will only put a few pictures of the sights we saw.

These are a few pictures from Tuesday. We saw Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, rode the London Eye and took the Big Buss Tour.

Wednesday we climbed the Tower Bridge and spent a good bit of time walking around the London Tower. More bus tour and more walking. Then back home. Josh and Erin kept us on track with the bus and train schedules while we were there.

Sunday Afternoon

We had a afternoon barbeque at Immig and Raimund's.

Immig prepared a wonderful meal for all of us starting with an appetizer and ending with the first desert we served to them, dirt.

Raimund kept the barbeque busy with chicken, shrimp an chicken kabobs and ribs. We had a great time of fellowship.

Friday on the railbikes.

We were treated to another fun thing to do.

Yes railbikes. Pedaling on a set of abandoned tracks.

We all took turns pedaling and riding. It was a beautiful ride through the countryside. We road to a station then turned the bikes around and pedaled back.
